We therefore use a QMS to supervise the entire reception activity, both from the quality of the administrative care of the patient (waiting time by type of flow monitored in real time, monthly dashboards, etc.) as well as the management of reception teams (distribution of the workload, organization of schedules in relation to flows, etc.)

More recently, the health crisis leads our hospital to speed up the digitalization of the patient journey, in order to further limit overcrowding in the reception hall. In a joint work, ESII and our software editor have installed in a few months a reception with kiosk for outpatients which supports in autonomy 20% of the external flow now.

For the reception staff, the kiosks lighten the pressure during peak traffic and allow to make patients reception interview in better conditions, for which a human intervention and an expertise is needed. The working conditions are therefore improved.

Following the installation of 7 kiosks in the 3 sites of the ASZ Aalst Hospital, the queue lines at the counters have considerably decreased (more than 50%).

The benefits of these admission kiosks are:

Nous attendions avec impatience ce système d’attente, qui correspond au concept que nous avions souhaité dans notre pharmacie.

Ce système a le mérite de libérer les gens (patients) mais aussi notre équipe, ce que nous n’avions pas anticipé : l’équipe en est ravie, car elle est devenue « maitre » de l’attente -contrairement à la file d’attente qui était en place depuis le début-.

Ce système est à priori plus rapide que des tickets sur le temps d’attente, et bien plus « transparent » comme technologie.

Le laboratoire d’analyses General Lab a besoin d’organiser un flux moyen de 450 prises de sang et 200 analyses par jour. Le système de gestion de files d’attente ESII nous a permis ces dernières années d’assurer la prise en charge de tous les flux existants, en gardant le même numéro de séquence pour les données patients et les analyses de sang, ce qui démontre aussi un système fiable et robuste.
