Context

The Outaouais Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSSO) is a public agency whose mission is to preserve and improve the health of residents of the Outaouais region (Quebec – Canada). Among its services, 12 CISSO centers offer blood samples to the 400,000 inhabitants of this Canadian region. One of them, the Gatineau center, is equipped with the Orion solution to manage the patient journey.

Solution

Thus, by going to this center, the patient must take a ticket either on the Twana ™ Ultimate interactive kiosk or by scanning a QRCode using his smartphone. With their paper or virtual smartphone ticket, the patient is called the first time by one of the 4 administrative offices. Once his file has been recorded, the administrative agent redirects the patient to the waiting room. He will then be called, using the same ticket, to one of the sample boxes by a member of the nursing staff. The calls are broadcast on several video screens located in the establishment.

Benefits

This solution has the advantage of allowing to take a ticket before patients’ arrival at the center using the QRCode available on the website (for a time slot available the same day). Patients who do not have a smartphone can also take a ticket.
