Since June 2024, CHR Verviers (Belgium) has been using eZCom to manage all the screens installed across the hospital. Dynamic communication allows the hospital to share information with staff while also supporting patients. Laurie-Anne BARLA, Communications Manager, looks back on 2 years of use.
Remote management and segmentation by audience
What challenges led you to choose our eZCom solution?
For the communications department, the ability to manage and update content remotely was a decisive factor. We were also looking for a solution that would let us tailor content to where each screen is located within the hospital, in particular by creating different playlists for our target segments.
Two target segments
Can you describe how the solution is used at CHR Verviers?
We currently have just under ten screens, aimed mainly at two target segments.
The screens for internal staff display practical information such as menus, payday dates, internal events and various reminders.
The other screens are installed in our specialist physicians’ waiting rooms. There, we show content related to the specialty in question, as well as institutional information and hospital news.

Speed of delivery is a real advantage: everything can be managed and updated remotely in just a few clicks. Updating content is also much simpler and more flexible than with paper materials.
In a crisis communication situation, this immediacy could also prove especially valuable for quickly getting important information to everyone in the hospital.

The solution lets us offer patients content that is both informative and entertaining, which helps make waiting time more pleasant and easier to bear. It also allows us to share useful information about the hospital and its services in a clear and accessible way.
