We had been waiting impatiently for this queue management system*, which corresponds to the concept we had in mind for our pharmacy.
This system frees up not only our patients but also our staff, which we had not anticipated. The staff is delighted as this allowed them to gain control of the queue unlike what we previously had in place from the start.
This system seems to be better than using standard tickets in reducing waiting time, and a far more “transparent” a technology.
*Weasy™ solution
The system powered by ESII has, above all, been incredibly reliable. It was also easy to use for our customers.
An interesting side benefit of the solution is the greater efficiency that the pharmacy can now benefit from. This is documented through various forms of statistics that the system generates.
The staff has also been pleased that they can now work with a system that is integrated into their existing screens and keyboards.
The installation was also quite straightforward. We have now been using the system for three months without any problems, so it’s probably the best recommendation one can make.
Pharmacy employees are now more focused, they no longer have conflicts to manage. They can focus attention on customers, they don’t have to watch who’s coming.
They know how many people are waiting as well as the waiting time for customers. This makes it possible to adapt the answers if a person has waited a very long time in order to avoid additional tension to that of the wait.
The average basket size increased by 8% to 10%.

Three levers work together: let customers take a ticket before or on arrival so they stop queueing physically, route them to the right counter according to what they came for, and show real-time waiting information so no one wonders whether they have been forgotten. Pharmacies using ESII combine digital tickets, kiosks and calling screens to cover all three.
Yes. Visit purposes are segmented at the point of arrival, so a prescription, a click-and-collect pickup or a consultation can each be routed to the right counter and the right team member.
A small pharmacy with two or three counters does not need the same setup as a shopping-centre pharmacy. A Keo™ ticket dispenser and an LCD calling screen are often enough. Larger sites add smartphone tickets, connected waiting devices and multi-counter routing.
Yes. Customers can scan a QR code with their smartphone and join the queue without any kiosk or ticket printer on site. This is available in SaaS mode.
Kiosks are wheelchair accessible, interfaces follow RGAA requirements, high-contrast display modes are available and priority queues can be configured.
Both. Orion is the SaaS platform, with online appointments, digital tickets and remote supervision. Nova runs on-premises, with the server embedded in the equipment, and can move to Orion later.
ESII designs and manufactures its kiosks at its Lavérune site near Montpellier, France, certified “Fabriqué en Occitanie”. Spare parts and repair procedures are maintained across several product generations.
