ESII is committed to achieve environmental, health and safety excellence in its operations, services and products. We strive to preserve the environment and provide an injury-free workplace for our employees, contractors and the communities in which we do business.
We believe that excellence in EHS is ethically the right thing to do and is good for our business. It is what our customers, employees and communities expect from us as a socially responsible corporation.
We conduct business with integrity and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements as a minimum. We implement more stringent global standards, programs and processes to achieve greater protection, where needed.
Sustainable development : Alternative energy sources|
We strive to conserve natural resources and minimize usage of energy, raw materials and
water. Ourheating systems have been replaced with a new ecologically clean technology:
thermodynamic cycle system. It currently provides 60% of heating and cooling at the ESII headquarters.
We reduce the environmental footprint of our daily activities through minimizing the use and
release of hazardous materials to air, water and land, and implement reuse and recycling where
feasible. Our lighting 100% LEDneon will reduce by 60% the energy consumption and by 50%
our carbon impact. Currently over 10% of lighting is done through LEDs. All the electrical
appliances switch to automatic economic mode within non working hours.
We drive continuous improvement of existing processes and promote sustainable growth by using photovoltaic roofing(Over 20MW of solar electricity produced per year).
Product ecology : Environmental friendly product|
We design products with focus on safe operations throughout the entire life cycle avoiding
environmentally sensitive material, reducing energy consumption and extending product life span.
Our LED displays have very low energy consumption with automatic switch off when they are not
Our ticketing process respects international environmental policies under the ImprimVert standard.
Our video PCs are energy saving (87% power efficiency, Intel Atom low power architecture
processor, Energy Star 4.0 and EPEAT-Gold)

Our materials are made from chlorine-free paper from sustainably managed forests and have
obtained PEFC certification (FSC as appropriate) printed with vegetable inks by a compan
certified ISO 14001 (environmental management), 9001 (quality) and labeled Imprim'vert and Print environment.
Supply chain : Non use of dangerous chemical products|
Responsible member of the communities in which we live and work. We cooperate with suppliers and contractors to identify and minimize EHS risks across the entire supply chain.
Our subcontractors have obligation to supply required materials with use of non toxic and any
dangerous substances for health (RoHS standards).
We comply by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives.
ESII also follows the electrical and electronic equipment disposal procedures as per French
low art21 et 22 du décret n°2005-829 du journal Officiel.
All our products are recycled following the procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
The recycling procedures are also applied to packaging items.
Furniture in our offices is labelled NF Environnement (French standard) and European Eco Label.
These standards enable us to guarantee a significant reduction in energy consumption and
To limit usage of hazardous office furniture, used printer inks, tones and batteries are recycled
by specialized companies. Charity organizations are also involved in this process (Handicap International).
We have a limited amount of office paper policy within the company: Paper folders are replaced with computerized date, double printing and filing for invoices is no longer applied.
Used packaging including cardboard boxes is recycled.
We cooperate with a worldwide distribution network to contribute to local employment and
reduce our carbon footprint impact due to business trips.
We maintain an EHS management system to ensure that performance goals are set and monitored, programs are implemented and audited, and progress is periodically reviewed and
communicated. This system functions to ensure that this policy is being followed.
Injury free : Health and safety on the workplace|
We believe that all injuries can be prevented and seek a safe workplace, free of occupational injury
and illness. We promote the health and well-being of our employees. We emphasize individual
responsibility for safety and health by all employees and at all levels of management.
We hold managers and supervisors responsible for leading, implementing and maintaining
safety at their work areas. We expect employees to follow ESII safety procedures and regulatory requirements, and to report and contribute to solve potential safety hazard issues.
We require contractors and visitors on our sites to adhere to the applicable procedures and
requirements. We will not conduct any operations or market a product without adequate safeguards.
